Food War

I think we've all been battling the food monster lately. We begin with such strength and then fizzle out in a pile of chocolate chips.

I found this article today on one of my favorite sites, CutandJacked.com. They have great nutrition tips and exercise advice.

Fatty McFatterson

That's how I think we all feel at some point. We didn't post much last week, since it was my birthday week so I was busy eating cake and not eating cake. (I only ate cake ON my birthday and ON my celebration day..FYI.)

We've all been dealing with the satisfaction of eating great and going to the gym and also the guilt of doing the opposite of that exact thing. Do you do that? Feel guilt for eating that brownie...pan of brownies? What do you do when you feel guilty for eating that brownie? Do you get up and go to the gym? Do you eat good the rest of the day? Or, do you throw in the towel and eat the rest of those fucking brownies because, duh, they are delicious, amazing and told you that your hair looked great today.

I do that last thing. If you are like me, let go of the guilt. Eat the brownie and then move on. So what? It's a brownie. Brownies are good and good things in life aren't always knocking at your door. Enjoy the brownie. Save the rest for other people or for tomorrow. Keep the rest of your day on track and don't let that one, single, solitary, ooey, gooey, delicious brownie get you down.

Okay, so what if you can't walk away from those brownies? What if they are staring at you and begging you to eat them and if you don't they will harm your family? Well, you eat them. OR you can just not be around brownies. Or not bake brownies. OR make sure you  have some sort of alternate to brownies.

I'm sure that I'm not really being of any help to you right now...I just really want to eat a whole pan of brownies and needed to talk it out. So, thanks.
